Celebrating the National Breastfeeding Month of August

We are proudly supporting breastfeeding and pumping and ALL mothers trying to do their best for their babies during this year's National Breastfeeding Month.

In celebration of National Breastfeeding Month (NBM) 2014, United States Breastfeeding Committee (USBC) will host a social media campaign inviting participants to share six word stories on what breastfeeding means to them. Participants will post a "selfie" photograph on Facebook and/or Twitter, holding a sign with their six word story using the hashtags #NBM14 and #SixWords. Following the initial launch weekend, the campaign will also focus on a specific sector/system of support each week, with Twitter chats and advocacy tools to inspire education and action to support breastfeeding families from the grassroots to the treetops.
